Why I reccomend the SS/QA is while the JD QA system is a QA, its proprietary. The SS/QA is a universal standard. Supply & Demand on the Skid Steer side is way different then the Deere side. So while you pay a little extra for the SS/QA at time of purchase, if you have any thought about getting another bucket, forks, etc.. it will more then pay itself back on your first attachment purchase. Not to mention, Skid Steer buckets are VERY well built compared to their CUT counterparts.
Another thing I think about is not only can i purchase SS attachements cheaply and readily, I can also sell them easily. OR let my bro with his Bobcat Tractor borrow them.
BUT...Jenkinsph is right, dont expect to be able to run a Skid Steer sweeper or an 84" bucket. Its more for "correctly sized" items like Snow Blades, Snow Pushers, Buckets, etc. Its merely an attachment method, not a complete hydraulic package, etc..
I am just the opposite of you-I think the JDQA is perfect for small and medium framed tractors. It's cheaper, and lighter than the SSQA and just as fast/easy to use.
In my way of thinking, there are only three basic things most people use on the loaders- Buckets, Forks, and Grapples. All three of those are readily available in the JDQA style from JD or the aftermarket. Those three things in the SSQA style are usually to heavy for a CUT to use effectively.
I am not trying to start an argument-just offering another point of view.
