What kind of discount is "average" on a new tractor off of MSRP?

On top of MSRP are typically additional charges for freight and dealer setup. Remember everything ships to the dealer dissassembled and most options are dealer installed. Make sure the price quoted is their final out the door price. IMO from this figure deduct 15% and you will have an honest good deal.

Everything else has been covered...Only thing I'd suggest is to get the Skid Steer QA on the 300cx.

I'm showing my ignorance here, but what does the skid steer QA do? Allow implements to be used on the front?

The skid steer QA has the same front mounting setup as skid steers, which is a universal mounting for pallet forks, buckets, hydraulic augers, brooms and many others. doesn't mean you can use ALL of them but can use the smaller and lighter duty units. This type mounting is popular across many brands or manufacturers.

On the discount anywhere from 15 to 20% is about right. Last year when I purchased the 2009 4520 out the door was 17.82% off. Still got the 0% financing too.

Thanks! So you remove the bucket and put this on?

I see you're in Ruidoso? I used to go up there all the time when I was in the Air Force. I had a season pass to Ski Apache too! Loved it up there, Cloudcroft too.

I really like it here too. God's country for sure.

You need to specify the skidsteer mounting config when you order the fel, to get an idea of the difference look at a skidsteer loader and observe the mounting setup. The 110tlb's have the skidsteer mounting too.

The only thing I would change is the BH, I'd go with the 485. I saw my new one down at the dealer and it's a lot more hoe than the 375 for not that much more money.
The guys here convinced me to change to the 485 (Thanks AK) and get the thumb too. Nice unit! Lots more power.

Rob's right... I didn't want to lobby too hard when I'm "spending somebody else's money"!! :D But, it's like the FEL (300X vs 300CX) - for just a few hundred dollars - you'll have a lot more capable piece of equipment.

The 485 will dig below the frost line for most areas of the country for foundation, footers or crawl spaces. And it will dig and lift stumps and logs or rocks that is just shy of a small commercial grade hoe and on a par with the smaller excavators.

Really depends upon how you see the work/projects for the tractor currently and down the road.

Why I reccomend the SS/QA is while the JD QA system is a QA, its proprietary. The SS/QA is a universal standard. Supply & Demand on the Skid Steer side is way different then the Deere side. So while you pay a little extra for the SS/QA at time of purchase, if you have any thought about getting another bucket, forks, etc.. it will more then pay itself back on your first attachment purchase. Not to mention, Skid Steer buckets are VERY well built compared to their CUT counterparts.
Another thing I think about is not only can i purchase SS attachements cheaply and readily, I can also sell them easily. OR let my bro with his Bobcat Tractor borrow them.

BUT...Jenkinsph is right, dont expect to be able to run a Skid Steer sweeper or an 84" bucket. Its more for "correctly sized" items like Snow Blades, Snow Pushers, Buckets, etc. Its merely an attachment method, not a complete hydraulic package, etc..

Several people coming tomorrow to look at it, it appears she'll be gone soon. It makes me kind of sad. :(

This is used... or just lthe last one on the lot ? Why don't you try a for sale ad to see if you can move your present machine ? You may find that many are tied to the warranty, zero financing or just the trust that the dealer can provide for future contacts. It is harder than one thinks to sell late model equipment for near retail value........ but they expect this from a dealer. Good luck.
