The nearest Kubota/New Holland dealer was a jerk to me too. It wasn't the sole factor in my buying the JD; but it was a big one.

Congratulations Dan. I am sure you will be thrilled to take delivery and put the tractor to work.

I walked around a 5083e a couple weeks ago. It's a big, beautiful tractor and it looks like it will do the hard work for you.

It sure makes things tough when a dealer puts anyone off. Sounds like you are off and running with the Deere guy and that can only help down the line if you need him.

Welcome to Green.!! Be sure to carry your camera at all times and don't be shy of posting pictures.

Best wishes with the operation of your brand new (wow) John Deere.!!

Congratulations on your tractor. My situation was similar though reversed. I bought a John Deere from a local dealer and had to fight with them when they would not stand behind their product. I like John Deeres, but won't buy another for the same reasons you didn't buy Kubota.

Enjoy your new tractor and will echo another poster, keep your camera handy.

Congrats...you made the right choice...a dealer who is reputable is a good thing. A new tractor is a wonderful thing too! I couldn't get a call back from the JD dealer 4 miles away...the Kubota Dealer 45 miles away has been to my place twice just because he happened to be in the area. You've got yourself a fine piece of equipment and the people that want to back it. Congrats again.

When I bought my Kioti DK45SC, I got it with FEL, brush mower and snowblower, since that was what I KNEW I would need. Since then I have added a box blade, toothbar, grapple rake and carryall...and covet several other attachments. I have found that you just can't have too many remotes, and they are VERY expensive to add later!
Did you just get the tractor, or did you buy a package with attachments/implements so it will be more than just a big, green ATV?

You're going to have fun.

BOB

Any updates?

Guys, I'm just waiting for the tractor to come in. I was told that it will probably be around the first part of November:(. They had to order from the factory. I think I might hear tomorrow regarding a fairly firm date of delivery to the dealership. But, as of right now, I don't have an exact date. I am out of town for the first few weekends of November so the timing sucks...oh well. I just can't wait to get the tractor since I have so many projects lined up!!!

I'll keep everyone posted.

Oh, and to answer the implement question...I have not purchased any implements yet but I plan to do so as soon as the tractor arrives.

November can't get here soon enough:)!

Thanks for the update Dan! Sorry to hear that you have to wait that long. If you have a gravel driveway look into the Land Pride grading scraper, I got one last week and it's amazing!

Post up those pics as soon as she arrives. :D

The local dealer called today to inform me that my tractor will arrive Monday or Tuesday of next week!!:)
So, looks like I'll get it the middle or end of next week. Can't wait!

I am shopping rear blades right now. I am thinking about getting a blade with three hydraulic options since I will have three rear remotes. The local JD dealer is pushing the Frontier RB2308 (8 foot) since he has two in stock as of today. I am also looking at the Land Pride blades. Unfortunately, buying a Land Pride local requires me to go to the Kubota dealer:mad:. The Frontier blade is over 1100lbs but doesn't have as much offset (19") as the Land Pride (30"). Tough decision, I'm not sure which way I'm leaning......
