Christa,

You are a "tractor" person. ( is that PC enough?) That is all that matters to me.

Welcome and enjoy,

Don

Re: Please! Who makes Kubota\'s oil

Well thanks for the info Christa and again welcome. Now to get down to business. Let's see you said you have two strikes against you......Well I see that to strikes for you in my book. I mean come on your a dealer and a female the two things that I want and need. /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif/w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif

On another serious note /w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif I wonder why I was shipped that mystic oil from the Kubota head quarters if I had a standard "kubota part number"??? HMMMMM I will look for that part number and see what others come up with for a product. Thanks again

Re: Please! Who makes Kubota\'s oil

O.K people I look at the part # and here it is 70000-10602 for a 2.5 gal and 70000-10605 for a 5 gal. Anyone out there that can enlighten me please do. THanks

Re: Please! Who makes Kubota\'s oil

Darin,
Thank you (and everyone) for the warm welcome. Your part #'s are the correct Kubota #'s. Did it say Kubota on it anywhere? That is just really strange.

Turfman,
UDT is fine if you have a gear drive tractor--in fact I wouldn't waste my $ on Super. On the other hand, if you have a Glide or an Hydro, the super would be better, especially if you are in a colder climate. If you're in the deep South, UDT should be fine anyway. The main thing is to let it warm up good if its cold, cuz thick oil is bad on pumps:)

Re: Please! Who makes Kubota\'s oil

Oops first it's actually Mystik oil and the only Kubota name on there is on the mailing slip from Kubota Corp in Georgia to the Dealer here in New York. Hmmmmmmm????

Re: Please! Who makes Kubota\'s oil

An little search on the net provided that Mystik oil is marketed by CITCO. http://www.citgo.com/Products/LubesOils/Mystik/MystikHydraulicFluids.jsp

Re: Please! Who makes Kubota\'s oil

when my hydraulic oil did arrive at the dealer it was Mystik

What was the label rating on the Mystik oil? Looking at their web site, they have several hydraulic oils.

Re: Please! Who makes Kubota\'s oil

Yeah I was on their page and did see my hydraulic oil there but now I was just wondering why Kubota said to use just there's and then they sent me this Mystik which I'm not really compaining about the oil just why it's not Kubota's. Oh well it must met there requirements or they wouldn't sell it I would think not. (hopefully smile]) Thanks

Kubota only recommends what makes them money. They want a monopoly on what you buy for your equipment and their owner’s manuals and propaganda are designed to affect that end. There isn't a oem out there with an engine on their equipment that does not have their name on a lube bottle. They sell lube to make money and thats the only purpose for their house brands.
