I just thought I would give an update on plowing NC soil. I took your advice and waited until we had several good rains before plowing. I waited until December, so the ground was much softer than summer time soil. My single bottom plow turned that soil over as easy as cutting butter. It is amazing how hard that soil can get in the Summer.

I have been thinking about planting our garden in the Spring. That reminded me of this old thread. I appreciate all the advice. I am looking forward to getting the potatoes and onions in the ground soon.
