Freudian slip perhaps?

You want the 707-3-5 drop 90. You pick a nipple and set the depth by where you mount the header that you attach to. It will work for your basic shower head as well. I will repeat, use brass nipples. Copper pipe can twist off if you try to turn it hard enough to seal a threaded joint. Pulling a slab of tile isn't a project you want to add to yout list.

Usually will never happen if you turn it by the fitting and NOT the pipe. Since I can't see the project in person, I suggested that there are options available. Not uncommon for me to set an adapter and piece of pipe in a joint like that (as a stubout)and then "finish" as necessary when the tile / drywall is done.

I've called Nibco, they won't sell to end users. I've called ALL the local Nibco vendors and they only seem to have the 1/2" x 1/2" drop elbow.

Any ideas on where one might obtain a 3/4"x1/2" drop elbow? (Nibco DOES make it but they won't tell me who orders them so I'm up to my fingers & yellow pages /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif )

I know I can reduce down to it but if the "right" part is out there, I always try to use the "right" part even if it's a bit more effort on my part which this is clearly turning into.
