It's a 2" rod with 3.5" barrel. I'm going with 3/8" hose. The guy that builds them sells them primarily for skid-steers, so maybe that is why he said 1/2".

With 3.5" cyl then, I would go that way also. Man you could almost use that to split logs, I don't think it well let go of anything.

PatMcD;
This is how I terminated the couplers at the loader, I couldn't find any bulkhead fittings to use with angle iron so I used the "break-away" clamp from TSC.

The rear remotes take 1/2" AG fittings, and I think you would be fine with 3/8" hose, works fine for me.
AG fittings have a ball on the end don't they?
These are the male ends from my loader hookup:Image 3.jpg
They are 3/8, but what are they called? I'd assume they's use the same all the way around, but maybe not.

Liable to be ISO-7241-1 either A or B series.. download this chart on this page and check against what you have.

If I had to guess from your photo they look like ISO-7241-1 Series B

That kind is the "poppet" style. I have that kind also, but the round ball style will work with them. I am using the 2 different styles together with no problems.
If you can find the poppet style I would go with them, but I couldn't find that style locally.

"AG" fittings can have either a ball or poppet, and while they do/will interchange and connect together, it is not recommended.

Underdog. If you can post a pic of your grapple on bucket I would like to see it.
