At the granddaddy Bass Pro in Springfield, they offer a knife sharpening service using a compressed cardboard wheel and jewelers rouge. After the blades are honed they then will polish the tarnish off the chrome or brass ends.
When I know I am heading that way, I always grab my assortment of knives, lube their respective actions and then take them to the masters for sharpening and beautification.
I can sharpen my own, but it's kinda like visiting the shoeshine man...one of life's little pleasures.
Knives? Belt carry a Craftsman single blade folder. Big honking knife. Lifetime warranty. I am on my second replacement. Have more Case knifes than I can remember - all types (too many Case factory outlet stores in Missouri
). My hunting knife is a Gerber....talk about surgical steel sharp!!
