Doesn't spark or sometimes? If you get some spark disconnect the wires at the switch and try. but I am going to "guess" coil.

Simplest fix is to look at the muffler screen. Being relatively new I would not think of a carbon build up unless whoever had it ran it heavy with oil but their might be a debris build up that cannot be blown out or burnt up. This is just how a saw will act with a plugged screen as well. If not this, replace the coil.

The muffler looks brand new so I will order a new coil for it

I am with the check the switch crowd first but I believe a coil is a high probability also like the rest.

fwtw My brand new craftsman 4 stroke mini tiller would start running like crap once it warmed up and thats what the warranty repair shop replaced (coil) and it runs like a banshee now.

First thing is get it hot until it quits again then squeeze the metal crimp from the plug wire cap to make sure it is making electrical contact and try it again. If it still doesn't run then replace the plug and try again. Plugs do go bad at times. If the doesn't work after all of the other things you have done then you may have a bad coil
