polaris glacier plow system:input

Has anyone bought or used the polaris quick connect glacier plow system?
how did you like it ? I'm sure it beats a shovel /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif I have a sportsman 500

Looks like a slick system....but I have not seen in person yet. Tell you what , go out and buy one and let us know how it works, and then we can decide if we should get one! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Well ok, I have looked at them ,and the sales demo it appears to be a snap ,are there any websites to compare
that to a universal snow plow for a value comparison,I have to convince myself first that its absolutley neccessary...

There are alot of universal plows out there.......I looked at alot of them before I bought mine. I decided to stay with the Polaris name brand. The price wasnt much higher. The install though was for my exact ATV(Polaris 325 Magnum) and was easy to install. No drilling into the frame. I have some pics posted in this forum. The plow is also very well made. I was impressed in general.

I have one on my ATP and it works great .All works off a small winch mouted on the frame of the plow .So far all I have pushed is about 6 to 9 inches but I had on problems all push buttom.

well the plows finally came in to the local polaris dealer,
picked it up yesterday will put together tonight and push the 5" of snow on the driveway b4 more comes ,must get used to it will report next chance i get, also read on this site about sandwiching heavy rubber between blade and edge for smoother cleaner operation ,sounds like a winner! /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Just played plow almost off 1 parking lot 4 drive ways 1 Storm not a bad investment ever thang worked great glacier plow on a ATP perfect match.

I think this is the same system I bought 3 years ago for my Explorer 400.

It works well and with chains on the rear tires you can push some snow 8+ inches if it's not too wet.

I had plowed a mile of dirt road with it when I first got it, I sure had fun with it. One of the neighbors thought someone had come down the road with a regular truck plow.

I also have pushed some very high piles of snow with it, once you get used to using it you can really pile the snow up. I also have thrown myself off the ATV several times while playing around. /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif

Yes sir, I finally got the unit installed, I asked the parts man how long it should take to install he said a couple of beers, well for myself if I had a couple of beers the plow probably wouldn't have gotten installed, so about an hour later I was pushing snow, installation was very simple worked very nicely, now if I could just charge a few bucks for doing some neighbors driveways not too make a killing just to help pay for the plow that would be sweet(but that wouldn't be very neighborly would it?) /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

IF ITS A OLDER PERSON OUT THERE SHOVELING I WILL DO IT FOR FREE BECOUSE MORE THEN LIKELY SOMEONE WILL RIDE BY TO LAZY TO DO THEIR OWN AND ASKED HOW MUCH I CHARGE SO IT WORKS OUT PRETTY GOOD HELP OLDER PEOPLE AND MAKE MONEY OFF THE LAZY ONES.
