Hi Greg,
No, sorry I don't have any pictures of the ceiling, but the picture that "hwp" shows in his post sums it up. Looks the same. George

Can I assume the "J" channel is for along the edges? Kind of like what is used for vinyl siding?

I'm interestedin ths project, too (42 x 63 pole barn) But, I need a FLOOR first. /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

Hi...........

Yes, you are correct, it's for the edges. Although you could use 1X2 wood and paint it if you wanted. George

I have also seen the white metal siding used on the ceiling and it looks great. I have it spec'd for my pole barn. I'll post pics when completed!

Check around .... I found a polebarn builder that had white perforated liner panel that they were trying to get rid of advertised in a small local newspaper - Farm and Dairy. Perforated liner panel is just like sheetmetal for walls and roofs - except it has small holes punched in it to dead the sound reflectivity.

It had been ordered for a customer was but had set outside too long and the customer refused it. It was in real good shape - basically brand new, never installed.

I paid around $750 for over 3000 sq. ft. (my ceiling is area is 3024 sq. ft.) and that included all the fasteners to install it.

I'm in process of building a weekend apartment in my metal barn - used v-groove panels for the ceiling. here's the best shot I have of it. We like it.

As a comparison, me and a buddy put up an OSB ceiling in my 32x40 polebarn about a month ago. I found a good deal on 7/16" OSB for $6.95 for a 4x8 sheet. 40 sheets and less than 5 pounds of drywall screws. I rented a drywall lift and we did the job in about a day and a half. I already had lighting, fans, garage outlets for garage door openers, garage doors, and a chain hoist installed that we had to work around.

Here's a few pic's of mine
Shop Lift pictures from off roading photos on webshots
This stuff is nice, once you get it up it's done, no prime no paint!
I did mine 4 years ago cost was $500 for a 30X48
My walls are OSB close to 3/4 thick, the OSB will stuck your wallet dry
trying to prime & paint...really soaks up!

Thanks for the pics. What kind of lift is that and what is the ceiling height?

Thanks,

Kevin
