Thanks BeezFun.
Yes, 2 - 80lb bags of Sakrete in each hole then the 7" x 18" biscuit.
I thought to myself at the time "I would not have done that, not in a million years". I guess the Sakrete helps to level the bottom.

They could put gravel in the bottom to level it. Do you think this is some kind of code requirement? I've heard of mixing sakrete and water in the hole, and I've heard of using it dry if there's water bleeding into the hole, but I've never heard of using it like this.
The last 2 pole buildings I've done I put 2 bags in each hole dry, also. The sakrete will harden from the moisture in the ground. But I have never used the so called biscuit. I like the whole idea of the way they did it. I guess the company that put up my building has been in business for a long time and the crew here said they have never had a problem with the way the poles are set in the ground and why mess with what works. I said COOL!
Hey Gizmo,
Really like your building and how fast it went up.
About those biscuits, did they put those over the hole and insert the pole through them? I couldn't tell from the pictures, but I assume they were the round concrete pads with the square holes in them.
