Political Correctness on TBN?

/ Political Correctness on TBN? #51
There are many many other forums where everyone just ends up calling everyone else an idiot because they have a different opinion. I'm glad TBN isn't one of them and doesn't allow this type of behavior. Those other forums are worthless. This site is very useful, where people actually help each other.

For me it's personal.

It's family and to be part of it you have to act like it.

I understand what your saying, Most people that has ever met me in person know that I'm someone they can trust and depend on and be a friend to the end, although yes sometimes I'm bluntly spoken, But I call things like they are, although I will not insult someone simply because they are wrong or might have another opinion on something, To do this to me is Not a friendly act, and certainly would not fall under the category of a family act, I have read this several times here on TBN,
Here down South where I'm from Southern hospitality is in our nature,
the only enemy we make is if someone messes with our Family or friends,
I have made many friends across the Net on many web forums and the first thing when I signed up to introduce myself was the great greeting responses from the other members,
The one thing I noticed right away when signing on here to become a member and introducing myself is I had 2 or maybe 3 people to welcome me:cool: . I mean I wasn't expecting a standing ovation, But I would had thought out of 1000's of members perhaps at least 10 or 12 welcomes :D
So! apparently the TBN was design from Folks Up north, Let me coin the phrase "Southern Hospitality" I have never heard the term used Northern Hospitality ;) wonder why that is

Well then, let me offer you some Northern hospitality and say a belated "Welcome to TBN". Even though you've been here longer than I have. Not sure how that quite works to offer a welcome in the reverse direction?

The New Members Forum was added recently (April 2009 was the first post) and it's location is just above this Forum(News/Feedback). They're many new member introductions that only have one reply so you're doing pretty good! Actually, I think many members have not noticed there is a new members intro forum. If you don't scroll all the way to the bottom of the Main Index page you'll never see it.

But Hey, Welcome to TBN!

Don

I only joined in November and just this month discovered the new members forum via the "Since my last visit link" and seeing where the thread was. Still didn't know where to look for it directly though.

As one of the two members who did welcome you to TBN when you introduced yourself months ago, allow me to point out that Ohio is generally considered as a northern state. We do consider ourselves hospitable. I'll gladly rewelcome you, if it helps to redeem us yankees in your eyes;)

I still think you got a might fine looking Yanmar by the way:)

Unless of course you're from the north  :D Even Texas has a commercial that says get a rope about folks from NY :D :)

Okay I'm done now you all can go back to your rants ;)

There is so much to read here now (TBN), it is hard keeping up.

I only visit selected forums on occasion at best.

I saw rants somewhere in this thread - isn't that a subjective opinion? :)
