Hello HOMEBREW2,
I also had issues with my BX2200 when I owned it loosing lift after working it hard for hours during the day. I used SuperUDT in it. And if I had known what I know now I would of dumped it and replaced it with at least Standard UDT for hot weather.
There is a difference. Super UDT is fine for cooler weather though. A roomer that has been going around a while back is that Super UDT is a Synthetic. It is not. I would rather see people save there money and purchase Regular UDT and have more protection in hot weather.
It is pretty good stuff.

Regular Kubota UDT will hold up better in hot weather.

Kinematic Viscosity @ 100°C, cSt:

Kubota Super UDT---------------------------------------------9.0
Kubota UDT---------------------------------------------------9.5
Chevron Synthetic All-Weather THF----------------------------9.5
AMSOIL Synthetic tractor Hydraulic/Transmission Oil (ATH)-----9.7

The best protection for your location would be a Hydro Fluid that has a Kenematic Viscosity of 9.5 and above at 100 deg. C.

So far three or four tries...

I don’t think I will ever buy the ‘right’ tractor so I may as well continue my collection!

I would love to find a used BX-1500 so I can trim or do smaller jobs. What a great tractor that one is. I have heard nothing but compliments!

Next in my sites is a ZTR. Scag is the king of the so called ‘green industry’ so I will have to try one nose to nose against Kubota. The Scag is one ugly looking shark, but it is the king of the hill. The Kubota I have seen and driven so far is very smooth, and as you would expect, a terrific value. Great machine, but it does have a ‘David vs. Goliath’ battle with Scag.

This should be fun!

I'm on my 4th try:

1st: Ford New Holland 555 4x4 extendahoe
2nd: Downgraded to Kubota L-35 TLB
3rd: Upgraded to Kubota L-39 TLB
4th: Upgraded to a leased NH 555 4x4 extendahoe, looking to buy a used CAT 416C 4x4 extendahoe.

What happens with me is my business has gone through phases. I have a friend who was an excavator and he asked me if he could do all my larger digging jobs. Unfortunately, he is now unable to work & sold his machine. Now I need a big machine again.

A year ago I started the search for my tractor. Joined this site and read up on them as well as visiting the Farm Show in Syracuse. Went from dealer to dealer trying them out and getting a feel for them. I had in mind a B7610 based on what people suggested on this site. When I went to the Kubota dealer near me I told him what I had (18 wooded acres, 1000' driveway, trails, very little lawn) and what I wanted to do with the tractor (snowblow, clear trails, haul wood, etc) he recommended two models... BX24 and the B7610. I never mentioned to him what I was looking at specifically until after he made his recommendation.

Got the B7610 and couldn't be happier. Feel there's no reason to trade up or down. The power has been beyond my belief for such a small tractor. It's done everything I have asked it to do and then some.

I've had it about 10 months now and couldn't imagine owning a different tractor. Guess I found the "right" tractor. :)

It's also nice to know that there is a dealer who is honest and understands exactly what tractor will fit my needs! From what I hear he's done it several times with people I know.

1*It seems that many - if not most - of us didn't keep the first tractor for very long.
2*Upgrading" seems to be the common experience.
3* I only mention this since I did a lot of research before buying my BX1500 and cannot afford the luxury of trading in each year for something bigger. I learned a very costly lesson by buying a
4*new 2005 JD garden tractor and getting only one season of use before trading it
5*But, it seems as a bit of warning to perspective BX buyers that - although it may be Kubota's biggest (but not physically largest) seller -
6*a lot of people seem to complain about it's lack of ground clearance and upgrade to a "B."----------------------
1*I still have my first one.Bolens 850 bought new June 1966.
2*I don't upgrade I expand.
3*I'd love to have a BX1500 with a front blade and a rear tiller.
4*What series JD was it.
5*I say it's more like buyers poor research and buying choice than it is any fault of the BX tractors.
6*Wonder why there is no complaints about ground clearance on garden tractors? The have a lot less of it than the BXs.

I was looking for a riding garden tractor when I discovered the BX 1800. Fell in love at first sight. Yes it was a bit bigger than was looking for but since I have 30 acres of land (most of it I'm happily leaving to nature) I have found plenty of use for it. I've owned it for 4 years and put over 800 hours on with virtually no repairs just regualr mantainance. Do I wish I had a bigger one. Nope! Love the little tractor and as of this time I can't imagine ever getting rid of it.
1* Beats a garden tractor all to pieces don't it?

The first wrong tractor I bought was in 1995 when I got a new MTD Wards PowerCraft instead of a Kubota like I'd been wanting for years. sometimes saving money cost.
The next goof was buying a CC 2554 a year ago instead of the BX1500 that I really wanted. Some times too cheap is expensive.

My first one was an 8N that I didn't want in the first place but bought it from FIL to keep peace in the family. (they wanted him off it) Used it for 2 years then sold it to a friend of his (again keeping the peace) and I bought what I wanted ... and have been happy with. my problem ..... I can't seem to get satisfied with implements...it's an addiction that I can't afford, which is the only saving grace, because without the financial reins - I'd be hip deep in implements instead of having just what I NEED and no more. (course I'm due a longevity pay raise this next year.....)

Trade? Whazzat? Collect, I understand.

Still, an old Blue and the old Green may disappear come spring. Got a hankerin' for an M. Just updating the fleet, is all.

The neighbors are already making snide comments about the Kubotas I now have. Wait'll I bring a new M down from the farm and use it to turn up the garden. I could justify a cab on the reactions alone. :)
