At work (I work for a school district), I have gigabyte (1,000 M) to the desktop. Many pages load quicker than you can click the mouse.
At home I have satellite and the same takes for ever.

From time to time I'll pop in and tallye the results.
With last posted "orezok" 11/16/2010 7:06 pm the results are:

I think what he means is that the forum isn't 'capable' of a real survey. Wish they would.
Seems funny a camera forum would 'require' lower quality pics.
Survey says "HHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH"

D - lately at 46,600 bps.
Cable does not exist in my area.
DSL is available but the distance between my home and the phone company's
central office makes it impractical.
Satellite - I have yet to hear one good thing about Hughes, except from Hughes of course.

What is frustrating is that there faster service one road over. Very few people on that road but it heads further out in the county. We have more people on our road but not faster service.
The company says it will be on our road in 2-3 months. But it has been 2-3 months for a year or so.
To get HD internet video Netflix wants either 3 or 6 mb down.
On an audio form I have been reading some people have fiber connections and are getting 18mb down. :confused2:
