Nice project that turned out reall well!
Have 11 goldfish, ranging from 2-4 inches. First 2 stayed in the waterfall and never saw them unless the pump was turned off. Added 9 smaller ones yesterday
Years ago we put fifty ten-cent gold fish in our pond...the next morning I saw one...then for years never saw one again. I figured something got them.
Then one day I looked down back and saw what I thought was autumn leaves floating on the pond surface...but it was spring, not fall, so it did not equate.
Turned out that there were probably a couple thousand gold fish on the surface...we have some geese and they keep the pond muddy with their washing in it all the time.
Now there are less, maybe between 500 and 1,000 as after I saw them, so did a blue herron and and a king fisher. Also, did you know bull frogs also can catch and eat gold fish? Yep, seen them do it myself several times...so I know it happens.
Boy that clear water sure looks nice!
