pond tree removal

I finally decided to remove a tree that floated up and messed up my aeration system lines in my pond. The tree sure was slimy but it will make a good bonfire this winter.

Nice use of the tractor!!

What's the windmill for? Does it pump water, air or is it ornamental?

I've been thinking that a windmill might be a good way to pump air into my lake and oxygenate the water. If I layed a soaker water line down the middle of the lake and had an air pump of some kind, I think it should work.

The windmill is a koenders it pumps air for pond aeration and i also had to install a second system with an electric pump(little blue house in the pic). The windmill makes a nice accent to any pond.

Can't see where the tow line is connected to the tractor.
Hope it wasn't to the bucket with the tractor in 4wd

Looks like that dead pine tree behind you may cause some problems in the future. I've got a few of those myself.

Yeah that pine tree died after they ran power to my home i have got a fence on the other side too. We have had a lot of pines die here lately i think its pine beetles. Yes i do have the line tied to the bucket and yes its in 4wd and i was lifting the bucket to stop the end of the tree from digging in the side of the pond. I put the bucket down after it was clear of the pond i was goin very slow
and i am very safety minded, sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do. The tractor nor the front end loader or myself were injured during this project.
