Doctor visits are another avenue of mythconceptions.
1) "you may feel a little pressure"
2) Dr. will be with you shortly. Have a seat.
3) this may sting
4) that doesn't look good, but you'll be fine.
And about every few years _________ is good for you. Now it's bad for you.

Oh! Here's a good one 17 yo guys told the girl on a date "I need your help or I'll get the blue balls".

Or the guy/gal standing at an intersection "will work for food". Try what I do..."Great! Hop in! I've got bushes to cut, trees to trim, a ditch to dig...and we'll feed you".

Tried the blue balls and many of its variants, never worked for me.
At the doctors the word discomfort is one I dislike, it generally translates to agonising pain.

That's what you get when going out with women that know more about your anatomy than you do. Kids with smart phones have it easy now days. They take pictures after a rough time on the football field and save them for sceptics.
