IMO...I think the authorities should have treated the criminals that looted and rioted during the BLM etc. protests no differently than the criminals that overran the capitol...The same resources and techniques should be employed to identify the looters etc...and they too should face charges...

Agree. Anyone rioting, looting or whatever should face charges. But... I think in the case of the capitol, it's like John Wick's dog. "You don't hurt John Wick's dog" --- "You don't riot at the capitol".

We all know what happened when they hurt John Wick's dog!
