I finally got a little more done. I'm definitely not as strong as I thought I was. LOL. I originally wanted to stand everything up and lay it over after they were completed. That didn't work like I thought, so I ended up laying it down and using an extra beam to support the post at the bottom. I still need to add one more post but need to slide everything over so I can use the concrete to get it all level. I have decided to add some gussets top and bottom. I'm also thinking about adding angel on the bottom for my walls later on.
I want to do a lean-to in the future off the back, so I think I need to prepare for that now. I was thinking about welding flat stock or possibly angel and then bolting on a 2by, then I would have something to attach my tin and could add hangers later on. Any ideas or other options?
I found out my tractor is not tall enough to stand the wall up(I used manufacture numbers which are based off of the bucket and my forks are different), so I'm looking at finding a fork lift. I've thought about some other sketchy ways of doing it but since my kid is always out there with me, I hate to take any chances.
I also ordered my trusses this week:shocked::shocked:. Wood has gone UP. They told me it would be at least four weeks, so that gives me a little time to get finished before they get here. Then work told me to pack my bags for Louisiana, and that I'll probably be gone a couple of weeks!

I admire your welding skills. I have no idea how you are doing this, or what I'm looking at in the pictures, which means I'll be very happy to see more pictures of your progress!!!

I'm a self taught welder. A friend told me a long time ago, that I can hire someone once or buy tools for a lifetime.
I'm struggling with taking pictures that make since, I think it will make more since with the first wall stood up. Basically the long beam on the top left of the last photo is the top of my "wall", it is the one with the truss brackets on top of it. The beams welded to it are the post. The beam on the bottom right is a temporary one to support the post from bending, twisting, etc...

You have a decent sized tractor so why not add a gin pole to your bucket or pallet forks? I have a sixteen foot long sled mounted to the front of my Kioti which is about the same size as your Kubota and I can barely make it wiggle hanging my fat butt off of the front of it. A 10 or 20 foot long gin pole should lift anything you have high enough and will only take a little bit of steel to make.

I have thought about that but I’m already getting close to my lifting capacity, which is 3k at the back of the forks. I’ve also thought about building a dirt ramp. Both of these would probably work but ....

Appreciate the pictures. It makes a lot more sense on what you are doing by seeing them. I've never seen I beams used for posts before. How will you attach your purlins to them? or are you going to frame lumber in between the posts?
