Is there such a thing as a post hole attachment for a backhoe? I've not seen anything like this but it seems like it would make sense to be able to remove the bucket and put on a post hold attachment. I've got a bradco 509 backhoe so I looked at the bradco website but the site doesn't have much info.

I saw one on a bobcat mini excavator once. It would need a hyd. line out to the boom to run it.

Lowes makes one. In fact the motor for my auger is recommended for backhoes, thirty gpm. Look up Lowes augers and you'll find their website.

There most definetly is. I remember wanting that option when I bought my tractor, but the dealer talkined me out of it for some reason that I forget. Maybe it wasn't as powerful or much mor expensive something... Just thinking... I wouldn't want anything like hydraulics or attchements down near the business end of a backhoe Sure would be nice to have that flexibility though - one cound drill post holes up on terraces or in narrow spots that you couldn't back the tractor to

Check out the <A target="_blank" HREF=http://www.danuser.com/products/hydraulic_diggers/8200.htm>Danuser Model 8200</A>, which is designed for backhoes and excavators.

Do a Google search on "hydraulic post hole digger" and you will find all kinds of options.

Yes they do make em',it is basically the same thing you would see on a skid steer but instead of a skid steer plate, there would be brackets for a hoe.The problem I have seen with the hydraulic powered augers is they seem to "stall out" if you encounter a rock or root, where the PTO driven augers seem to have more snot cause they are direct driven,at least till you break a shear pin.I would suggest before you spend all the money to get the auger and all the hydraulic valves, and plumbing, try a hydraulic one and see if it does the trick if not stick with the 3 point hitch model.
