So on an M7060 with the 6speed (F12/R12) the hydraulic pump capacity is listed at 16.2 GPM. How much does the hydrostatic power steering take away from this? OR, does Kubota already spec the GPM taken from the steering after the fact, giving us the rating of 16.2 usable GPM?

If that's the case, I'd imagine the Danuser EP10 would be the better choice?

Tractordata usually breaks that out, but doesn't for your machine. My L4060 has 14gpm of flow about 5gpm of which is dedicated to steering. TractorData.com Kubota L4 tractor information

I'm gonna guess your M7060 has around 10gpm of usable flow as well rather than 16.

Okay, with that being said, if you look at the same M7060, now with the 4 speed (8F8R), the listed hydraulic capacity is now 11.0 GPM. So, with your theory, this machine would have even LESS usable flow available...???? (less than 11 GPM?)

(the capacity is boosted to 16.2 on models equipped with the 6 speed 12F/12R)

to add, reading this article, they do mention having 16.2 GPM "implement" hydraulic flow.

Could you give us a list of the parts and a pic of yours?

This is mine.

First, get a used PTO PHD, then replace the driveshaft with an hyd motor. What you need is
a large-displacement motor to get the low-speed high-torque you want. I used a White
motor with 7 cubic inch displacement that can handle the 2500psi that most modern CUTs
put out. That way, you do not need a crossover relief valve.

You need to fabricate the motor-to-gearbox coupler. I hung mine from my backhoe and
used the curl circuit for hyd power.

Do a search on TBN to find several hyd PHD builds.

Okay, after confirming with my dealer, the M7060 with 6 speed, (12F/12R) actually does have 16.2 GPM available for implements. So it has been brought to my attention that the McMillen 1475 would even be a better fit, with an available 2377 Ft Lbs. :shocked:

Make sure you verify that in your service manual. I would have expected more like 12 or so for
implements, and the rest for steering.

Anyway, skidsteers generally offer more flow for implements vs. tractors, even without their
higher flow options. Worksaver offers 2 different hyd PHDs, one for CUTs, and one for SS's. I
have had the 714 for CUTs, and it worked fine. Way less $ vs. the Danuser or McMillen units.

I had asked the group about the mixer/auger setup a few weeks ago but no one had used one. This is the model I was eyeing:

Still looks like a good idea to me. I have some holes to auger soon and am going back and forth between the Everything Attachments PTO auger and a skid steer type hydraulic unit. I just don't want to spend three times as much when I'm only augering a few dozen holes a year at most.

I like that aussie Eterra unit. Everything about it - including the price - looks good. I know about 3pt PTO PH digger problems. I've got a good one of those with lots of augers and plenty of tractor to spin it with. But mounting up that 3pt digger and actually digging a hole in our soil with rocks and roots is a challenge.

Then the 3pt PH digger just sits there for years between jobs. If it also poured cement - like the Eterra unit - it would sure be more useful.
