Interesting thread and pictures. I had noticed this part of the forum, but never looked before. Then I saw "Milkman's" avatar.

Turns out I have had a two wheel tractor for about three years now. We have a BCS 722 8hp Briggs with tiller. I have thought for some time the mower and chipper would be good additions. The mower would complement the rotary mower on the Kubota, and the chipper could replace the one I have. Not sure that will happen any time soon, but it would be a nice setup.

Robert, here's a long thread that has lots of pics of some big two wheel tractors and lots of interesting attachments, I use mine every day now that it is gardening season. The Avatar is with the 40" three blade mower, I used that till I got my Kubota and it does a good job on the grass as long as the ground is flat, the mower is bolted solid to the power unit so it doesn't follow the ground very well if the tractor wheel drops in a low place. It sure is in its element with the tiller on the back, and works with the 4X8 trailer I use to pull my gardening tools and containers to the garden and back. The thing that makes it work so well is it has a differential and individual wheel brakes so it is easy to turn with the mower or trailer, and with the tiller, it's easy to handle and turn on the end of the row, but if I need traction, I just flip the diff. lock and both wheels pull. Check this out. WWW.earthtoolsbcs.com they have lots of stuff. Almost forgot the other link, in case you couldn't tell, I'm hooked on my BCS.:D

BCS 853 with 23" steel wheels and brush hog attachment. If you double click the thumbnail, I think it will reload the picture much larger.

Nice looking Lombardini diesel, Highsmith! Like you, I bought an 853 with 12 hp Lombardini diesel this past May from Earth Tools. It is a sweet running and powerful motor that does most tasks at half throttle or less.

Hi! This is a Gravely L model 5 hp I install a Dek-diesel 10 hp . Not easy replace a Gravely engine because Crankshaft go in Planetary tranny. Now This Gravely run very well 180 hrs make . Very powerful run with about one liter fuel hour. I sold my Gravely L8. I prefer Gravely with reduction gears . bigger wheels more traction a little bit more slow. I join some pictures. Good luck !
