Obviously cobbled from available material, buck-toothed and skanky but, so far, reliable for hoisting a few and getting down an dirty in the brush.

OK this was a quick fix, Just me with no one else to move a small metal desk. So I just stuck the forks under the top round support, looks like that might work.

Interesting, I had the same idea, of adding pins to my FEL forks so I could use them on my 3pt lift too. I have a set for my JD419 FEL. I'll post pics when I get a chance to take some. The advantage of the forks on the 3pt is that it keeps the load more level than forks on the FEL. As you lift the fel, the forks tip back. Conversely, if you carry a lifted load level, it tips forward when you lower it. Probably obvious to most folks, but I hadn't thought about it till the first time I carried a load with the FEL forks. Of course the 3pt can't lift very high or reach into a truck very far.

Tom,
The only difference I've ever found between using a forklift & using forks on the FEL is that I can tilt the forks more using the curl on the FEL. A real forklift has tilt control to help in stabilizing the load. You just have to remember to adjust the curl as you raise or lower the FEL.

Of course, forks on the 3PH are much preferred if you need to haul a pallet across the yard as you don't have to worry so much about your center of gravity. (Just remember it's there before you start up a steep incline...)

Here is a photo of my tree watering tank behind my forks attachment. No problems backing up like I would have with a trailer.

This is my tree watering tank that fits on my homemade forks. Easy to maneuver. 300 gallons, tank was $40 and has a 2" plastic ball valve.
