Code54, is see you have a honda pioneer. How do you like it? My brother-in-law just bought one.

Really like it a lot. We use if for trail riding and a lot of the areas where we ride are tight trails and sharp turns so it works great for those areas. Not the fastest machine out but is nice and solid and a lot of fun at a reasonable price.

Yeah, it ain't pretty but if it works it works. Again, I've never seen one for $8k and at that price cosmetics and battle scars don't matter. How many of us use our headlights? Bushings, greasing and oil changes do matter as the repairs would add up. I'd like to see the tractor lift itself off the ground with FEL and BH and see that it doesn't leak down quickly. Need to check for slop in the major BH and FEL pins. Otherwise it just looks like a well used tractor. (Maybe Eric owned it before his NX (warning, inside Kioti joke))

I saw one for less than 5 grand , a BX 24 , and it wasnt a scam or stolen . It was a divorce and cross country move on short notice . The 110 hour machine and tiller are in my garage .

That's a steal. What I have noted is that few BX 23/24/25s have more than 500 hrs on them, they are almost all well kept suburban machines, and they sell for $12-14K almost regardless of age. I think it is a combination of very good tractor with Kubota nameplate and lots of folks who have DYI small scale landscaping projects that take a couple of years of summer weekend work to finish after which they are sold. Knowing that the tractors can be sold for very little loss actually keeps the used price up as I think there is a pretty high turnover rate. I see more of the BX tlbs on Craiglist than any other.

Agreed, i have not been limiting my searching, I'm looking at x23, bx24, or bx25. Not much luck.

All you need to do is go buy something else. Then, if your luck is like mine, the market will be suddenly flooded with BX23's, 24's and 25's at bargain prices.
