THANKS to Junkman and the rest of the gang here on TBN, the dreaded sunday project of drilling through rock to anchor my building was a success!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I followed the instruction given by you guys and everything went pretty good, all except the part where i got the drill bit hung down in the rock, but thats another story..all i have left to do is to put the big nuts on the rods, im waiting a few days to make sure that anchoring cement is cured, NOW, as for rodney, well, he was out bush hogging with a beer in his hand yesterday while i worked on anchoring the posts, ...now, i do have a neighbor that drinks all the time and is crazy like this, the dynamite prank was cooked up by me to pay you guys back for making bets that i couldnt pull this anchoring thing off and also payback for the thing about taking up an emergency donation in case my building fell..lol..i was at work saturday thinking about the sunday project and you guys messing with me about it, and i thought about my crazy neighbor and came up with the story to get yall back and the main kicker was going to be the pics with the anchored posts!!! Hope no one is truly mad, and i want to thank all you guys who gave me the courage to go through with this job, i definately was not looking forward to drilling into rock, but after all, it wasnt that bad at all..just still for the life of me cant understand how this anchoring cement is supposed to hold a big building down, seems like it would break and the rod pull out, but, i guess it really works. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

MOPO they look pretty good.

I would have liked to see more than 1 bolt per post in the rock myslef but they should hold nicely.

I'm sure you'll be fine with those anchors. When it's done, I'm sure you'll forget about 'em. The more that goes up, the stronger it will be. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Nice job! Now you can sleep at night and get on with finishing the rest of the job. Must feel like a great accomplishment.
