Pouring Concrete-transport from truck to pour site

Soundguy:

That's what I did about 2 years ago. I poured a 8" thick slab for 2 grain bins. The slab was 8x20. Here in Michigan you can get BIG loads. Our transit mixers can carry up to 80,000# of material and I was faced with a lawn tearup as the mixer had to drive across the side lawn to get to the pour spot. I ordered about a yard extra to be sure. The mixer left some pretty good divots in the grass, but they were gone by the end of summer. Our large transit trucks have lift axles that are steerable so the damage wasn't too great. Besides, the leftover concrete made a really nice weight box for the tractor.
