If those are DA cyl, shouldn't the hose connect the base on one cyl, and the rod end on the other cyl. I know the volume is not equal.

One cyl should be extending, and the other retracting.

That won't work because the displacement is different in the rod end and the base end.

The two cylinders in series act like one cylinder. "A" to base of cylinder # 1 and "B" to the base of cylinder #2... cross over connecting the rod ends of the two cylinders
