At this point unfortunately you are pretty much stuck with the bill for the filter and oil change. It's likely that those items are specifically excluded in your warranty.

The larger issue is if the HST is working correctly. The HST assembly on Messick's site goes for 3.5K, so the last thing you want to do is let the warranty expire and be stuck with the cost of replacing it, likely 4K+ with labor.

The parts breakdown shows two valves that look like the F & R reliefs. If the tractor is weak in both directions it would have to be both valves or maybe some other issue inside the HST.

If the dealer has another similar unit perhaps you could perform a test to compare the two, maybe climbing a steep hill.

Thanks for the info Rick. I am worried about the same issue, I don't want to be replacing major Hydro parts after warranty. I'm not so sure of the ability of my selling dealer. And from what I have been told from NH Corporate I don't have faith they will stand behind their responsibility. As much as I don't want to I will have to sell the tractor , get my money back through legal channels or be stuck with a new tractor that doesn't work. I've never had a company tell me that they don't get involved with warranty claims that the dealer can make that decision, what a crock of B.S. that is. I'm very disappointed with NH as a company right about now.

Hi Folks, I know this post is old. I had issues with my hydrostaric drive at 180 hours. The clutch pack went. I was told the reason this happened is beacuse at the factory, the PTO lever/ clutch pack was not set to correct tolerances when it enganged. Over time it wore out, I noticed it while I was mowing. I run a 260 GM midmount mower, 10LA loader, 4' bush hog and a Meteroir snow blower(51") Mine had a lack of power. I was lucky becuase the warrenty was up in a few days when it happened; however, since they re-assembled this machine, I have had nothing but gremlins with it, everything from no brakes to brakes seizing?? to the Hi/Lo/ Neutral control lever not being recognized in neutral; therefore I cant start the machine. Fustrating. I see Kioti now has the patient for thisbut in a 24 hp.
