OK, a couple ways to do this but let try this one: Do a Right mouse click on the "Start" button from the desktop (normally at the button left-hand side of the screen) this will popup a menu, Click on "Explore" from that menu. This will open a window and on the same line as "File, Edit, View, Favorites, click on "Tools", a dropdown menu opens, click on the bottom one "Folder Options..." That will open a popup window, Tabs are listed as General, View, File Types, Offline Files... Click on "File Types". This should list Registered files types, use the scroll down bar on the right of the file types list and see what is listed for "PPS". If you don't see PPS listed, you have to do an extra step, click on "New", this will open a small popup window, type "PPS" (no quotes), then press the "OK" button. THEN the extension should show PPS. Click once to highlight it, then click on the "Change..." button. Yet, another popup window... click to select the "Select the program from a list" and press the "ok" button... (you're close and yes, another window opens
) Hopefully, the viewer will come up as the Recommended Program since it *is* a Microsoft product... if not, look under "Other Programs" for it. Worst case, you'll have to click on the "Browse..." button for (yup, you got it) another window... which will list Program Files (actually folders) Look for the one the viewer is in... if you get stuck at this point... I'll download the program and see where it installs itself (or someone else who's done it can chime in
), you should ba able to click on the program and press OK to close all the open windows. If you get a bad message, you might have to "show" your e-mail program (roughly) about the same thing.
PS. I'm sure there is a much easier way... I just don't go that route
