TSC did not have have Fleet Guard antifreeze; they had Fleet Charge. What is the difference? I only bought one a gallon of the Fleet Charge.
Fleet Charge is the only diesel specific antifreeze I am aware of. I've never heard of Fleet Guard.

Update: doc explained what FleetGuard is. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

From the aforementioned web site;
Fleet Charge® is the original fully formulated Supplemental Coolant Additive (SCA) pre-charged coolant/antifreeze. The patented inhibitor package provides superior protection against cavitation erosion, corrosion and scale for all heavy duty cooling system applications. Fleet Charge is a low silicate, low total dissolved solids coolant that meets or exceeds all Heavy- Duty and Automotive specifications. Fleet Charge requires no SCAs at initial fill, and ensures proper chemistry when used at top-off.

I guess. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif
It usually takes me 3 months or more to go through 5 gallons. I have 3 gallons sitting right now (plus the tractor is full). It's almost October. I guess I should mix the white PS with what I have.
How about the antifreeze part of my question? /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif
Is Fleet Charge the same as Fleet Guard? It said something about SCA's on the label.

Re: Fleet Charge

Would my mid to late eighties Iseki 3 cyl. diesel benefit from Fleet Charge?
Or,,,, should I just use regular anti-freeze?

I'm trying to learn about these diesel engines!!!!

that's were i previously worked at a ford dealer on PS.
from my reading you can use any type of popular fuel additive in the powerstroke. It's the same unit as in a 3206E infact there almost exactly the same and i've always thought they shared parts in the fuel system design as far as many specs and general design of the system but i've only worked on 1 3206.

shady1701 - I guess Ford is incorrect in the Ford Powerstroke Supplement Manual about additives? Look in it and it states they do not recomend additives. If you look I am correct.

Since it was/is in writing (black and white) about what not to add (additives); and since they [FORD] spelled it out, I would never and never did add anything to the fuel in the Power Stroke.

they also say there cars and tires are in good shape. I remember many a people telling there tires were ok directly from ford and see signs of tire seperation. Also they add a fuel additive when they replace the injectors. Believe the real world not legal jargon.

I agree but if something goes wrong, if you add the additives, to the Powerstroke, the customer is sh*t out of luck since they can't read correctly.

Do bad I will trust a "paper copy" of the manufacture before word of mouth in this costly situation.

Also to bad legal jargon wins everytime over real world.

Sorry Ford wins here since it is printed in THEIR book. It is up to the customer (dumb or smart) to follow or not. But do not complain if you get a huge repair bill for a $9 bottle of additive.

Oh, yes, when they replace injectors they do add a lube..to bad it is not to clean injectors or prevent gelling.

Again READ the book.

You sure have trouble posting without some filth coming out of your mouth so to speak, you can change a letter or two to try to hide it. But its there just the same. Isn't your vocabulary good enough to express yourself without using that. I can't imagine the leader of say two country meeting using that kind of filth.

Dick-- You call that "filth" in today's age! WOW. It is not 1950's, dick, it is 2003. That is common as a normal word in the NorthEast.

I will tell you the same thing I tell my boss (king of nothing), do you really think I care?

PS. Stick to the post at hand and not some little adjective.

Again this is a little website on the huge internet. Calm down..gee, you take this WAY to heart to much.
