Do you have a diverter or any on/off valves on the SSQA cylinder? I don't see one. Will be "fun" trying to use a 3rd function impliment without one. :p

How does it work? I can't quite figger it out either. FEL vs Implement vs Quick Attach.

No clue offhand how you'd do it without a valve up there. Unless you had a dedicated SSQA line or plumbed in something in the operator station. All the implementations will require a 3rd function, either a true 3rd function or diverter would work.

If no 3rd function is connected, leave SSQA valves open. Pressure goes to the QDs & stops but operates SSQA. Hitch up to your impliment & latch. Get off the tractor, close the SSQA valves & plug in your impliment. Then get back on & use the impliment normally.

To unhitch you get off & unplug your 3rd function & open the valve. Get on the tractor, open the SSQA then dump the impliment.

You always need to get off the tractor to connect or disconnect the 3rd function, so an on/off valve pair on the 2 SSQA lines is sufficient. I have a diverter valve for my install when I get to it, but fundamentally it will operate the same.

It uses two manual shut off valves mounted on the cross tube of the loader.

Ptsg beat me to it but the valves are tucked up behind the cross tube. Out of the way. One for each line.

It is quite fast but not too bad at idle. I may get a restrictor just to slow it down a tad.

I suppose you could use those shutoff valves as restrictors by just opening the valves slightly. Maybe even add a stop for the lever on a position that gives you the speed you want.

Nice set up I will be greatly inspired by your design this is how I pictured it my head I had planned on using electronic diverter but like you said you have to get off to hook hoses up so flip a valve and make it easier to install.

Now that it is up and running anything you would do differently?

not really. everything seems to work well and I haven`t even gotten around to getting restrictors, just got to remember to throttle down before hitting the button. It is worth taking the time to route the hydraulic hoses properly so they are out of the way.

I feel like I have to update this thread. I just bent the two rods that link the levers to the ssqa pins. the ones with the springs over them. They are 131 USD each so one more reason to grease those ssqa pins as often as you can. Luckily they still work. I just took the pins out and cleaned out the holes and the pins and greased them up real good and they work.

I do not have a relief valve in my hydraulic setup and I also don't have a restrictor. I think more regular greasing would have probably solved the problem. When the hydraulics are doing the work you don't notice when they get stiff. as a side note. a little bit of silicone spray on the pivot points on the levers makes almost as much difference as greasing the pins when cycling the levers manually.

People with an electric actuator probably don't have enough force to bend the rods.
