Kmart,
Achingback, has answered your question as well as anyone could. Good Luck with it.

Hey man, I'm sorry for your trouble with your tractor and hope you get it quickly resolved.

I don't mean to get off the subject of the original topic but I'd like to ask you a few questions, if you don't mind...

Have you had any problems or dis-satisfaction with your Mahindra? If you purchased it from a dealer, or brought it into a dealer for service, How did the dealer treat you and resolve the problem(s) ? How many hours are on your Mahindra 5500 4WD ? Lastly, would you buy another Mahindra tractor?

Thank You Very Much.

I would never buy another Mahindra tractor..Complete Piece of ****! 325 hours and nothing but trouble, everytime I start the tractor something else goes wrong.

I hate this tractor..and it's paid off now. Dealers sucks, you pay for transport, you pays for them to trail and error replace parts on your dime.

This weeks issues for my 6000, Clutch pedal sticks to floor....been greasing and moving all linkages attached, still sticking a bit and now it's sputtering above 1200 rpm, changed the tank fuel filter and all the fuels filters.

One thing I can always count on is this piece of **** tractor will break down when I need it the most.

HATE MAHINDRA!

You buy one and you'll be very sorry I promise.

I love these troll posts. Seriously? Only your third post and this is what you give us? Not to mention throwing this crap in a thread that's actually helpful for those of us that use the forum for more than a place to B@tch.

You're in bad company posting stuff like that here, most of us have had very good luck with our machines and like them very much. Sadly the only thing i get from this is to stay as far away from your dealer as possible. You might do yourself a favor by looking around for another dealer that's a bit more capable and accommodating.

I'm sorry that you're not happy with your tractor.... with a post like this the only suggestion i have is to trade it in on whatever brand you want to flame next.

I have to agree with Kmart on this one...mine is 5500 with only 286 hours and after three new starters...first one from dealer at over 800 dollars...learned to by off internet after that one...and now my steering is leaking same way...and my hydrolic cylinder on left side is leaking too. Battery was good....lasted 10 years...only good thing I can say about Mahindra tractor. When you pay 23000 for a tractor and loader you expect much better....

Not sure why you did what you did, but I would think you could have had the starter rebuilt for around $100. bobG in VA

After reading, it appears I need the seal kit for my '01 4500 2wd. I dropped it off at a local guy to get a price because he fixed my slave cylinder cheaper than I could order the seal kit a few years ago. Tight on funds, I may have to do it myself. Is there anything else I need besides a spanner tool and seal kit? Anyone have a diagram? Appreciate any info.

I thought needle nose pliers and a heavy screw driver was a spanner wrench.
