Yes, I did have a chance to use it today! Man, what fun! I had a muddy parking space next to my paved driveway that I wanted to replace with crushed limestone. I went in the back yard and practiced on a dirt pile for about 10 minutes with the small tooth bucket(now I'm an expert, yeah right). Then I excavated the muddy area about 10' X 20' and down about 4 inches. The ground was frozen about an inch down. I got the turf tires because I'll primarily be using it to mow the lawn. The turf treads got plugged a little with mud, which I expected, but it still did a great job. Took my time and finished in about 35 minutes. I filmed the whole thing on 8mm video and will download some clips to my web site later tonight.

The hydraulics are very powerful. They are a little too quick. For instance, I had a bucket full of dirt, and I went to curl the bucket back to clear the top of a pile. The bucket came back so fast that some dirt actually flew out and back into my lap, about three feet in distance. Now that I know just how quick they are, that won't happen again. Had to brush off the dash board too.

I also went up to an old Mulberry log that is about 24" in diameter and 8 feet long. Rolled it over with ease. I'll try the forks on it next chance I get.

Practiced with the quick attach. Rearranged the shed again for practice. I still can't believe how easy it is to change attachments. Set it down on the ground, flip the lever in front of my right knee, push the joystick to the side and back away. About 5 seconds total. Hook up takes about the same. I should have filmed that too. I will next time and post it as well.

Call me happy /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

All that I could justify. They had about 34 more attachments that I couldn't. Not pictured are the 7' loading ramps and the extra quick attach plate that I got. Actually, the ramps are standing up just inside the right door, but you can't see any detail here.

I see you've been busy as well. Got it off the trailer and tested on some gravel. Sounds awsome.

This PT425 is just the right size for our needs. Mainly, a lawn mower, but capable of so much more when needed. It fits in the back of the pickup truck with one attachment and the ramps too, so it will not be any problem to get it out to our other property to mow the trails. That will have to wait until spring. Right now it is backed into the shed with the snow plow against the doors, waiting for the inevitable.

MossRoad - Different needs for different deeds! It certainly looks like it'll do everything you wanted it for, and that's what counts.

Breaking new ground, so to speak, eh, David? /w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif

Can't wait to see the movies. I've already put my Windows machine to bed for the night, but I'll definitely check them out tomorrow.

Hey, Muhammad! I sense a new trend coming -- video signatures. /w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif

Very impressive, MossRoad. The only problem is the time it takes for them to download out here in the country./w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif It gave me plenty of time to go get another cup of coffee between segments. The "maneuvering" segment alone took approx. 6 minutes, 24 seconds to download to run 55 seconds. Must be nice to have high speed Internet access.

One of the things I was thinking while watching your great videos is, how much work it'd be to do what you did by hand. Yikes!
