I have a BlackMax Honda powered power washer; I replaced the entire pump assembly two years ago. The other day the housing that the garden hose threads (inlet tube) onto broke off. I ordered a replacement; it took me about an hour with a pipe wrench to get the old one off/out. Installation of the new one was easy.
After starting the unit up, I can tell that the pump is running but not at full output and the water pressure coming out is much lower than normal. I tried two different nozzles; I can only guess that with my wrenching and the resultant deformation of the old part that some shaving fell down into the unit is restricting flow? I used my shop vac after the repair to try and get anything out that may have fallen down into the interior. Does anyone have a thought? Or two?
