POWERED-RIDE ON TOY SUGGESTIONS

one suggestion on battery powered toys. You will get much better rusults from the 12v ones. Longer life more power (torque). and so on. My boys 1st one was 6v and ran ok on flat ground but would run down in a couple hrs or so on the hilly fron lawn. His 12v 4wheeler runs 3or 4 hrs and has turbo that he love to keep on full tilt.

My youngest nephew (2)got the 12v jeep version for xmas and he and his mom ride it together on occasion. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif He likes to take momma places... /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

How well do the 12v models do on gravel roads? Or any of them for that matter.
I'm looking at getting one for my 4 yr old girl & 2 yr old boy.

With the plastic wheels, the tires slip a bit in gravel, but overall they go OK. Our kids pretty much ride their's wherever on our property. A lot of times I'll look back and I'll see one of them following (way back) when I'm mowing.

both the JD tractor and the 4wheeler do ok as mentioned the wheels do slip some but he jus t puts it in high and keeps going..... No of course we can't keep him of the gaser... he was on it again this evening... for a bit. I think it may actually be more quite than his batter 4x4... no wine just a low putting sound. it has lots of pep pulls me no problem at 180lbs. rated 150lbs.... We love the remote kill has a range of about 50ft.

Brent, I think you would look better on the 50. I bought my kids one of those suzuki 50s, both of my boys used it. I don't think you can wear them out.

That little 50 will haul my 205 lb butt around. When ever I start it for them, I tell them to wait while Daddy warms up the engine /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

WELL this is what i finally bought (SORRY ANDY) Felt it was the best buy for the $$ and had excellent reviews. POWER WHEELS FIRE RESCUE JEEP. the strobe light works, it has a 3 button sound device, and the water cannon actually sprays water(ask my wife /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif) iput it together (did not trust the store to do a good job) took about 2 hrs. including the 37 decals /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif his birthday is not for a month yet, but it has been tested and works fine.
