Bob. Can you elaborate more on this? Was your dog eating the stuff? Did you let your dog walk around on it when it was freshly applied?

I would think that if you kept your dog off the lawn for a few days and/or washed their paws frequently after they were on the lawn that they would be OK. It also probably depends on the size of dog and type of chemicals.

The only chemical I've had problems with was some Mole bait and my dog dug it up out of the ground to eat it. Luckily, he is a big dog so it wasn't too severe but he was not well for several days after. I follow the manufacturers instructions and keep the kids and dogs off the lawn until the chemicals have had a chance to penetrate the weeds and clear the surface. Even then I wash their paws often - I let them in the house a lot so they always get their feet cleaned before coming in the house.

It would be nice to know more details about your dog problem with the weed and feed.

Thanks,

Paul
