Premium Diesel... ?

I can understand that older equipment may have an issue with ULSD, but if the tractor is new isn't it engineered to work with the fuel? I don't hear of pumps failing from the new fuel.

This week-end,I noticed the fuel I bought at Kroger is 15 ppm , the ultra-low sulfur fuel.Jy.

The best diesel fuel additive out there is fppf fuel power plus lubricity actually any fppf product gets my vote hands down

I went to the local shell to fill my fuel cans and did knowtice that there are two choices for fuel (like a regular and a premium) the regular one is ultra low sulpher and the premium one has a mix of blends to clean your injectors, prevent gelling, increase HP, ect. For the price difference and what is added I just got the regular and added my own stuff cause it is way cheaper to do than to just buy premium fuel.

I'm in Southern MN and this was just at a quick trip.

They have a spout on both sides.. the one was being used so I went to the other side. The first thing I noticed was the nozzel on the end didn't fit in my container so I looked and made sure it was diesel... yep, it was. So I started filling and looked again and saw "premium" on it.

Kinda had me stumped. One side wasn't premium and I know the spout fits into the jug, this side was labeled premium and had a bigger nozzel on the end.

A lot of Stores/Stations that provides diesel to "Road Tractors" have such a pump. The noozle on one side of the pump is larger than the other. The large noozle side keeps a Road Tractor from spending the day at the pump, pumping several hundred gallons of diesel. The fuel dispensed comes from the same tank. I am surprised you were able to fill the container without getting diesel fuel on you and your clothing, the fuel really comes out of the large noozle side.
