I have one with a honda engine, best purchase I made. I bought it off ebay for cheap, the wheels were missing, I added some and its as good as new.

Tractor Supply is now carrying Simpson pressure washers ... if you have their credit card the no-interest financing may be worth something to ya ...

If you buy a cheap one, theres not a lot of reason to pay extra for a Honda engine over B&S. The pump won't last more than a few years of light use and they are expensive to replace, rending the whole thing junk.

Agree.. bought a cheap K'archer once and the pump broke after 8 years.. motors still strong. Stupid thing was, this pump was driven by the head of a hex bolt threaded into the crank.. only made a few years and no where to be found now... cause they suxed :)

Actually I think renting would have been cheaper in our case so it was not in our way 99.9% of the time.

Actually we have two because I made the mistake of buying electric the first time.

Whichever PW you buy, make sure you can buy replacement pump parts. Don't buy a Sears/Craftsman, as they do not have any replacement parts for the pump. They only sell a replacement pump and it's almost the cost of a new PW. I can't remember where I bought mine, but I'll check tomorrow. It's been good to me for the last 9-10 years. I had to replace the pump seals last year at a cost of $40 dollars for the seal kit, but that's not bad for 10 years of service.

Your comments probably depends on the model. Mine is a Craftsman and the spacer between the pump and control valves developed a crack in it after it was loaned to my son in law. He obviously left it outside and it froze. Parts to fix was right at $65 which included shipping. 13 years old. Sears direct had the parts. Third party said items on back order. Got the parts in five days. 6hp 2000 psi with a Honda engine. As I said probably depends. Runs like new.
