You can find slip plate at most farm supply stores. I have used it before but be prepared to redo it more than once.

It comes several blocks to a box. And off the top of my head I think each block is 1 1/2"x5 or 6". They can be found at mostgrocery or hardware stores with canning supplies.

There's also another paint I'm thinking of trying called POR-15. They claim their paint will not chip or crack off on the most demanding jobs. They do have a web sight but I don't know it.
