So you get 3 HP for free by taking the tractor on the lot. Sounds like a good deal.

By the way the pricing I sent you was for the 0% finacning. It would have been almost $5,000 less at the time for cash. If you are not paying cash take the 0% you will make out better in the long run. If you get Kioti financing you can get insurance to cover your tractor on or off property for a couple of bucks a month. If you don't most finacne companies will require you to provide proof of insurance. Oh and your home owners does not cover your tractor to thier satisfaction.

So you never responded to the big question. Which tractor did you like better? I am assuming from all the activity on the Kioti form its the DK. Don't hold back give us the like and dislikes of both. Who knows mabye you will pay it forward to the next guy in your shoes.

This deal doesn't sound as good as yours becasue the dealer said he couldn't give me the $3500 off if I take 0%. He didn't say what it would be and we'd have to start back at 24,500 and begin negotiations again. I'll ask tomororw. I think its like a car dealer wehre he's keeping the rebate at 21K. Probably a 2K swing if I use the 5.4 and take the whole period to pay the loan but the plan is to pay it off early.

It's probably $3500 or 0% from Kioti. Sometimes Kioti does free loader or 0% or $3500 in any type of attachments with 0%. Otherwise if you finance with Kioti you get no freebees. I'd swing a loan elsewhere if needed and jump on the $21000 price. They should be normally closer to 24-25k.

With standard rates below 6% now, the rebate is really the better deal. On top of loosing the rebate, dealers have to participate in the buy down on some 0% programs, this is why the price changes. No one gets a rebate at 0%, Kioti uses the money to buy the rate down. Another thing, if you take 0%, you have in effect paid all the interest up front. so if you trade or pay of early, you cant get it back. Only advantage to 0% may be using the higher sales price for tax depreciation, but then business interst is deductable too so not sure the 0 percent is really ever really the best way to go.

To RJJR, the dealer can't pocket the rebate. It is either 0% or the $3500 rebate. The rate is now @ 5.8, so it is better to take the rebate and low rate.
It all pretty much balances out at the end of the term.
