A quick search on the forum will give you some idea of where those prices fit in with the regional differences around the country.
I've been keepin' a sidelong eye on the 40 series numbers and your quote seems a bit on the high side. I try to think in whole numbers and if I break it down on your 4120 it comes out somethin' like this --- $2K for the mower, $4K for the loader and $21K for the tractor.
I haven't been watchin' the 30 series numbers very closely at all... so can't give you a critique on that bid.
But... it looks like your dealer has got a couple of thousand of "wiggle" on the 4120 quote; at least. My .02 sence /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

That mower is $3500 or more so that pice is not too bad based on regional differences. That price looks pretty good on the 3320 setup. Does that include ehydro, mid pto, etc maybe? I would pay the $500 and get the CX. I have the 300X and would have liked to have upgraded to the 300CX but it was not an option on my purchase. The pricing is not bad OTD in my opinion.

Huge difference in tractors by the way between the 3320 and the 4120 - heck of a jump.
We have 20 acres. Wwhen we first bought it 6 months ago, it was knee high on grass and heavily wooded. We rented tractors to go out & cut grass and knocked down a few small trees. The tractor rented was a JD 4120 mostly, a few time we got the JD 3320. The 3320 was easier for me to get up on becaused I have bad knees. My husband says if we get the 4120 he can add a 2nd step to make it easier ffor me to get up on. I love getting out and riding the tractor on our property. I' just tried of renting and would rather pay that per month rental on purchasing our own tractor. Thanks for everyone opinion.

Depending on what all you need to do, I find that it is hard to have too big a tractor when you are looking in this range. I would lean towards the 4120 myself - it is not too big and is a lot more tractor. With that said, it might be too much tractor. I bought a 4720 to maintain our 20 acres and it has worked out great. You might want a i-match for that mx-6, it is pretty heavy duty.
Also, if you don't need the heavier duty MX mower, you might consider the LX to save on costs. I went with the MX because I have a lot fo nasty mesquite trees that needed chopping up!
Let us know what you end up doing.
I agree on the rental thing. I hate having to wait in line, delivery, etc- I can jump on the tractor and go when I want to do it.
