saturday morning i'm going to the dealer to take a look at the 3320 they have up there.I'm trading in my 2210 which has been a good machine but i want somthing bigger.my also going to look at a 2520 also.the only thing that holds me back from buying the 3320 is this "tippy" feeling i have been reading about from other people.

The "tippy" feeling...is that with the larger R4s available or the standard size also? Thanks...

I too have read the tippy posts regarding the 3X20's. I now have 40 hours on my 3320 with turf tires. I find that I get the uneasy feelings in the same spots I used to get them on my Kub B7610. No more and no less. And I have never read a post about that tractor being tippy. I must therefore conclude that that the guys posting on the tippy issue must:

1. Have a better sense of equilibrium that I do
2. Have a worse sense of equilibrium that I do
or
3. Have steeper grades than I do

The tippy issue is a non-issue for me here in SW Michigan.

I have commented on that tippy feeling before, and now, after almost 200 hours with my 3520 Cab, it seems less of an issue, almost to the point of being non-exisent. Like any tractor, traveling horzontal on an incline is going to impart some kind of feeling and possibility.

I wouldn't say the tractor is unstable at all. Maybe having a cab distorts one's perception of the situation. Maybe with a cab, the center of gravity is higher, and that adds to the feeling.

Now, I live in Northern Illinois, relatively flat, and I have seen the pictures of the hilly terrain some of you have, and if I had to traverse that, I would look for the lowest center of gravity machine I could find. I kept my 755 specifically because of its low center of gravity and handling on inclines.

I was looking at eds72grabber message about $348 spread over 7 years for the 3320. That is 84 payments for a total of $29,232. That is over $10,000 more than the cash price. That would be hard for me to justify, paying $30,000 for a $20,000 tractor. John Deere has 36 months free financing. I know it is a big monthly payment but a $19,000 tractor would have a payment of $527 for three years, but then again, it would be paid for in full, and that is with zero interest. I did some figuring and if you would be able to put down $6500 and finance the remaining $12,500, the payments would be $347 for 36 months. I bought a 3320 and was able to get the payment down because I had a trade. They simply take the balance and divide by 36, there are no fees, hidden costs, etc.

Thats over 13% interest rate! $19000.00 financed @ 13% for 84 mo. = $346.00 mo. OUCH!!

well after thinking about it for a couple of days i decided to get a 2520 with a 62d and a FEL.I called the dealer and he sold me the tractor for $17500,I don't know if thats a good deal of not ,but it was more my price range.I wanted a 3320 but i started thinking that i did not need that big of a payment.he told me that the 2520 will run $260.00 a month.

That is a very capable machine. You can do what you could have done with the 3320, just gets you more seat time in the process. And leaves you more comfortable with the payment at the same time. With the 2X20 you will be able to get into areas the 3X20 cant and have less impact on your yard as well. You got a brand new luxury green machine coming, enjoy and post pics.

Condrats on new Tractor. you will love the 2520. its a great machine.
you can get alot done with it. I know this first hand.
Also i would consider a backhoe when you can swing it. what you can do with it is endless...

How do you (or any other posters) like the 3520 w cab compared to the open 755? Do you mow with the 3520? I have a 755 but have been thinking of upgrading to a 3520, not because the 755 doesn't run and do the job perfectly, but I have the bug for a new one after 18 years. I'd also like to have a BH which is a problem with the 755, and with a cab on the 3520. cab.
