I've got a 2019 m7060 cab, I agree low gears could be lower buy the creeper kit get 18 speeds, add extra rear valves, air seat, buy radio from Messick's $85, FEL 3RD valve, 84" bucket, I like R1's filled 3/4 water antifreeze, with just water I can lift over ton with front forks. I added top and tilt. Got the wicked grapple, and piranha bar for bucket. Got the insurance with 0% finance put nothing down, got shop manual and maintenance supplies for out 600 hours. It is not a heavy weight, but is very nimble with short turning radius gets around well in tight places, like working in the woods with the grapple or brush hog. Its got lots of power, the tranny take some getting use to because the shuttle shift uses a wet clutch that is hyd controlled, so clutch pedal is a valve control and has no feel to it. Also to shift between ranges both ends of the tranny need neutral, so shuttle in neutral, tranny in neutral, then shift the range gear, if it sticks flick the shuttle

Very good post. Packed with a lot of information in a small package. Well stated.

I think the creeper gear kit would be justified if a lot of slow speed ground engagement work was needed such as a tiller, etc.

Adding a tooth bar is another good investment.

These tractors turn exceptionally short. My M9540 will turn inside the circle of my Ford 3910.

TripleR, a member here, has some physical constraints with his legs. He never used the foot pedal clutch. Does his shifting with the hand shuttle.

Do you have the stamped wheels or the cast wheels?

We traded a L4240 for a M7060 Cab a few months back. The M7060 has the R1 tires, chains on the rear, studs in the front, cast rear rims, and filled tires. It has the third function on the loader and a total of three remotes on the rear. The interior has the air seat (awesome) and bluetooth radio.

The upgrade was made to get a tractor with more weight to handled the loads and provide more traction for snowplowing. The cab was added to keep out of foul weather, especially winter time. Our woods have good established trails and new trails can be installed with enough width to avoid issues with a cab in the woods.

I am very happy with the M7060 with it's weight handling (5' tall x 6' long skid of 42" wood), comfort (the air seat, temp control, and radio), and maneuverability. I am in the process of adding a front and rear camera. The front camera will help with attachments and fork placement. The rear camera will help reduce the amount of turning around when using the rear blade and power rake.

Here is a picture:

You tube video of a locking front diff, helps when on frozen ground and ice, probably with plowing, I get more weight up front.

You can't go wrong with Steve Barlow over in Somerset. Got my M8540 there a few years back was happy with how the deal went as well as followup.

enfield, M8540 fwa, open station, hydro shuttle, LA1353 with 3rd valve - may be for sale but probably more tractor than you need
