Red_Dog,
Congrats on your deal. Sounds great! I wanted to drop in and share a little info. It was all my fault, but I broke the back glass out of my tc45 this week. I had it open and raised the 3-point up to high. Window broke into a billion piece's. Be warned! Make sure you have the glass shut when operating. Have fun with your new tractor! (when you get it that is) We sure love ours. haha I'm just kiddin'! I'm not tryin' to rub it in ya face or nothin'. I had a wait of about six months. Thought I was gonna die. Congradulation again on your purchase!

I know Jim....I've been waiting 5 years...so what's another couple of days? :( So who else has a cabbed TC40/45 in the TBN Family? I know that Houndstooth has one, Kendall69...did you get one... anyone else?

We are looking into possibly trading in our TC40D for a TC45DA with the Super Suite Cab. Here are the details....

Trade-In will be a 2002 New Holland TC40D 4 wheel drive, super steer with 541 hours - Excellent condition.
a) 17LA loader with quick attach.
b) R-4 Industrial Bar tires with rears filled
c) Rear work light
d) Overhead (rops) hookup for two additional magnetic work lights - oem switch on console
e) One rear remote valve
f) Parts & Service Manual

Procure New Holland TC45DA 4 wheel drive, super steer with Super Suite cab.
a) 260TL loader with quick attach plus 72" HD QA bucket.
b) Super Suite Cab option - Add option Rear window wiper and washer kit
c) R-4 Industrial Bar tires with rears filled
d) Three rear remotes
e) Hoses and coupler for additional remote located at front of loader for grapple and tree spade.
g) Parts & Service Manual

The list price for the new unit is...(gulp)...$42,867.00. The trade-in allowance for our 2002 TC40D is $23,202.00 for a trade difference of $19,665.00. One can slice and dice this a few different ways, but I thought other users had said that if you get close to 20% of list price then you are getting a "good deal". So 20% off list is $8,573.40 and if you take that off our trade allowance of $23,202.00 you get $14,628.60. This seems low for our trade allowance, but again that is based upon us getting 20% off the list price.... If you take 15% off list then our trade looks better...so the real question is...does this seem like a good deal on the tractor?

We are also specing out two separate attachments...

Kuhn EL32-190 Tiller for $2,400.00

New Holland 72CSH Front Mount snowblower with hydraulic chute rotation and deflection. Pricing includes the mid-pto, quick-attach assembly and everything needed to get it up and running...no labor though. $5,500.00

Any comments on the attachments and pricing would also be appreciated.

Thanks for your advice in advance.

Matt.

I think the $23,202 for your old tractor is in the ballpark. I don't think out here you would be seeing much more then that selling it yourself. The cost of the new tractor seems unbelievable to me.

Sell your tractor outright, its a great time to sell and as others have stated you will have no trouble ever selling a clean tractor. Start high you can always come down.

My 2 cents

Red dog, Great news for you man. Christmas in April. You won't be able to wipe the smile off your face all week - and no one but us will know why.

I'm still on the fence waiting for the new model. Dealer first said no cab on the new model, then called a few days later and said " oh ya there is going to be a cab on the new model" He called a week ago and said looks like fall for the new model with a cab. So now it's in my ballpark, do I wait for the new one with all the bells and whistles and definitely make this one my last tractor, or go for it today, because I can get 6 months work out of it.

Go get your camera and put it in your pocket right now so you won't forget it in your excitement when the tractor is delivered. You don't want to forget pictures for your TBN buddies.;) :D

Well, it's Thursday, and no new post from red dog. I guess he got his new toy, and is out playing with it:D , unless he didn't get it today, which means he is probably crying in his beer:mad: .

Sigh. :( Dealer called late this afternoon and told me that they are running into a few things that are slowing them down. He mentioned that the rear remotes were missing a few parts, they were fabricating mounting brackets for the 3rd function on the loader and the tech was scratching his head on wear to plug in the mid-pto to seat cutoff switch harness...evidentally it's a little different with a cabbed tractor? He sounded confident that they should be able to deliver Friday afternoon.

I guess if you flip over and fall out the door of the cab, the mid mount device shuts off prior to munching you?

It arrived! They delivered her late yesterday afternoon along with the roto-tiller. They still have to do some more fabrication for the front quick-attach/snow blower setup, so they will be coming on a later delivery. Spent last evening going over everything mechanically and since this will be cleanest that it will be in quite some time...gave it a nice bath, waxed the blue parts and rain-xed all of the glass. Should make getting the mud off a little easier! :D I'll mount my front brush guard and the backhoe brackets this morning and give it another going over before heading outside. Once the frost comes out of the ground today (it's 13 F currently) the fun will begin outside. In the meantime, I can just sit and look at in the garage for hours...it's so sweet... ok, back to work. Oh yah, I have taken pictures of the delivery and all of the maintenance last night and will continue to take pictures today. No worries....the pics should be up in the next day or so. :D
