Price of coffee What are you drinking.

Hi all

Tonight had with my wife a Nicaraguan Ramacafe made in a Moka Pot. Had some fresh scones and blackberry jam to go with it. For breaky I will have some Ugandan Busamaga. Both were roasted by myself last week.

When visiting friends in lower Mississippi they serve a cajan coffee. a shot glass is enough for the day. drank slowly.

Mike about the only part I really understand of your post is the black berry jam .

Which Aldi coffee did you buy because they have about 10 different types? They have their reg. ol' coffee, they have Breakfast Blend and French Roast in bags, etc.

I'm thinking it was a can of Beaumont. I think I still have the can somewhere. It might be in the shop being used to store bolts.

Coffee is a major part of life and bad coffee is intolerable.

Those big cans of Aldi's Reg. coffee is not very good. This one gets good reviews:

"Aldi "German Roasted" coffee. At $4.99 for a half kilo, it's about one third the price of my favorite Austrian Joe, Julius Meinl's King Hadhramaut, and it's similarly nutty and aromatic with a smooth finish. "

One of the best coffees I've ever had was a free sample of Starbucks that they sent me called Cafe Verona. I bought a bag in the store but it wasn't nearly as good as the free sample I got.

Costco has 2.5 lbs bag for $20 ($8 lb)
Target has a 1.5 lb bag for $12.99. ($8.66 lb)

At Costco they only sell the whole beans but they have a grinder there and you can grind it as course or as fine as you like it.
