The absolute most over rated cut of beef has to be the rib eye steak...choice, prime, restaurant grade, broiled, grilled from rare to med, bone in/bone out they simply do not deserve their reputation of being a great steak...from natural charcoal to sous-vide...perfectly cooked the lack of tenderness overwhelms the reputation...Yes...they have great taste due to the marbling etc. but cooked as individual steaks (compared to a "rib roast) they simply do not even come close...no better than the average strip steak for tenderness...cuts like Porterhouse and even t-bones are much better for both taste and tenderness IMO...
Also considering the amount of waste (inedible fat, gristle and bone) tenderloin is worth the extra $...if you want a tasty tender piece of beef where there is no waste...

Are those potatoes scalloped? Looks great, not all wrecked with veggies. Simple is often better.
