There was a little trailer near Kenai (Ak.) called "little Skimo", it had huge deep fried halibut Sammy (in season) and man, were they ever good!!
Too bad that in those days I was so broke I had to save up to get the $3.50 to splurge on one!!

The older I get, the more varieties of fish I enjoy. When I was young, I only liked batter fried fish. Now, I eat that, baked, grilled, almandine, breaded, heck, I had sushi last week. 6 different kinds of raw fish. I didn't like the tuna, but the other 5 were quite good. A little ginger between the samplings to cleanse the pallet. :licking:
Moss, I was very reluctant to try sushi . . . most I have tried is good, but you have to make sure the vender has fresh fish.
Walking upright and using fire separates man from the rest of Gods creatures.
I grilled Orange Roughy over charcoal last weekend, it was delicious.
it seems to me like cutting out the food processors and selling directly to butchers would bring more profit to the farmers.. look how much meat costs in stores!.![]()
