That could be with the engine being moved, but a precleaner always is a good idea to me, especially with mowing and dirt work where the dirt is low and the intake is low, not like skid loaders where the intake is above the engine and behind the cab.
I myself wondered if the pre-cleaner had been incorporated in the 'D' design. As I previously said, once I had it installed it seemed to me that the modification should be standard. Once someone can actually see a unit we'll know. The location of the intake is as important as the pre-cleaner itself, since it gets the air from a location high above the dusty turmoil of the mowing.
