( Question: If I purchase a JD out of state and say something needs to be replaced under warranty....will my local New Hampshire JD dealer do the fix for me or will I have to bring it back to the state I purchased it in?

They SHOULD do warranty work, but you probably wouldn't be top priority. I like to assume that I will HAVE to go back where I bought for service, that way, it only helps if the local dealer will work.
Why not send out bid requests to any dealer that will work, distance, wise? Look up your area dealers on JD's site and email, fax, or mail solicitations. Doing that I found a dealer who I never would have, otherwise. They were THOUSANDS less and have been awesome to deal with....
